QUOTE(Will @ Mar 24 2015, 12:40 PM) *
The Noble, G’Nell Winterhaven (a fairly obscure member of the family with a small amount of land near Halgar, away from the Demons), fled from his home, his retainers and servants having reportedly gone insane and tried to kill him and his family. What could have caused this?

Investigations came to a stand still as guards attempted to enter the grounds only to be repelled by a large number of blood crazed retainers and servants!

After a brief and bloody siege of the grounds, the guardsmen were forced to kill every last one as none would give quarter.

G’Nell cannot be found to give a statement on this matter.

In the private room of the local tavern, an ashen-faced Molly sits staring at her tankard. Something is distinctly off about the wizard, dark bags encircle her eyes, it looks as though she hasn't slept in days. A long, jagged scar runs from her collarbone to her forearm and she seems very on edge about something, as if slightly mentally unhinged. Having heard the news about G'nell Winterhaven, she grimaces and looks up for a moment.

"What the bloody Hell happened?" She exclaims, glancing to her companions in hope of some answers.

"Open game? And how did all the staff get infected?" Sighing deeply Molly rubs the bridge of her nose in exasperation.

"This whole thing has been a disaster, from the moment you lot dragged that guy out of those caves." Taking a swig of drink, she glances down at the table, frowning.

"I said you should have left him." She mutters, quietly.

'It just gets worse it seems. We had better follow up on Gorim's investigations when he gets back. I wonder how the other cities are faring.'

Loric looked around the tavern, the flickering flames providing warm comfort. He noticed the frown of concern on Molly's face, the long scar along her arm reminded him of her fall. He needed to watch over these people better.

'The Lady will see us set on the right path, have no fear. Trust in the stars. It might be an idea to take a look in the lord's Manor.'

His memory went back to the child in Keys, a victim of the polluted potions. He did his best to push the thought to the back of his mind.

A small smile crosses Molly's lips when Loric speaks, but she glances to the floor and closes her eyes as he mentions The Lady, only looking up again once he's finished talking.

"From what I gathered on my trip to Halgar, things aren't exactly faring well per say, but I hadn't heard any talk of the contaminated potions specifically. I would hope that
this means the problem is a localised one, for now at least." She mutters, finishing off her drink before hastily ordering another.

"Investigating the Manor seems like a very good place to start." She adds, taking a large swig from the tankard.

In the morning news, your group (when awakening from a late night of revelry) reads:

Nobleman G'nell Winterhaven Sighted!

A farmer herding in his cattle into town for the night reported that a ragged looking man in a cowled robe was in his barn, huddled behind some haystacks. when approached the man grew scared, shouted "no get away from me!" and fled through the back gates. The farmer, a Frederick Golls from the village of Hellinbrook, south of the River Moat, east of the Gilemedian Hills, stated that "the man looked womewhat like the noble from the Winterhaven Esates near Halgar in the north. He looked like he needed a good meal, but would have none of it" Frederick was quoted to say "he ran to town, swift as if Death itself was chasing him"

Speaking to some of the towns folk garnered small offerings of sightings, from "I saw him passing by the well for a drink" to "he stopped in the Inn for a meal, ate then left, he had no money and he was in a terrible state, but we look after our Nobles here in Hellinbrook."

This reporter feels that he is only maybe a couple of days behind this Noble on the run and perhaps I will be lucky enough to catch him up in the next village he crosses.

Further report as they come in.

Wesley Hammond.

The remainder of the news is the usual dross....

"I fear that Hellinbrook will soon fall to chaos. For if what I think happend at the mansion actually took place..... " Gorim mulls over the News. I had no way of knowing if his infection was to be a carrier, a host for this menace that will infect all he meets! "is that what happens when noble blood is involved... More questions than answers. There must be more clues!" standing he walks to the table and studies the notes again.

In the morning news, your group (when awakening from a late night of revelry) reads:

Reporter flees from danger!

Having spent a night in the rural, but beautiful Hellinbrook, this reporter awoke to the sound of pounding on the door, as I went to open the door I could hear the sound of growling and shouting coming from thew other side and thought better of it, looking out of the window, I was witness to Chaos, people runnin in the streets, fleeing from frothing madmen that only the other night were drinking buddies. I opened the window and caled my way down to the alley between the Inn and a near House and silently sneaked out of the Village. After doing so I fled to the next Hamlet only to see similar chaos erupting in it's muddied streets.

I decided to spend a day in the wilderness away from the devastation that seems to swell in the wake of this refugee Noble. I believe now that I should conscript some muscle before hunting this man for his story as the creatures that were once the people of this valley are not ones for talking anymore. I will not be swayed and will find Lord Winterhaven, But what cost will it take from me to do so.

We shall see...

Further report as they come in.

Wesley Hammond.

Gorim throws the news paper on the table and sighs, sometimes being right is the worst thing. G'nell Winterhavern is in fact a carrier. He will spread this plague to any village he unwittingly goes to. The decision now is (a) Stop him one way or another. Or (b ) continue to look for the head and remove any other production.

"Who is Abd Al - Aziz?
Who is Reverand Mellington?
Will Demetry Constella give us anything?"
Tapping out his pipe he looks at the dresser. There in all its glory sits his prayer book. His link to Moradin......... "My lord I think its time we talked"

Elves are bad.
