To my family,
I cannot be around all the time to guide and make clear my expectations in regard to matters of the family honour, so I wish to lay out a few, shall we call them, standing orders to guide where I stand on certain matters so that you may bear this in mind when considering your actions. - We do not accept insult. But offer a chance for an apology. - We do not accept insult. So give careful thought to a decision to insult another. I expect respect to be shown when dealing with others, as we expect respect ourselves. - Oni are a stain of dishonour on our lands, and should be eradicated. But if there is a chance that their dishonour can be cleansed willingly, let this be their path, especially where they belong with a family. There are means for them to turn to the path of Fortune. If they refuse then they leave no option but to be cleansed in death. - The Oryx tribe are protected by the Treaty. I am uncomfortable with this, and continue to consider our position in it, but to break the Treaty as it stands would bring dishonour on our family. I am sure this will be discussed further soon. - I expect that you be strong in mind and principal. Your actions are your own, as are the consequence of said action for good or ill. Be decisive where you can, and contemplate where able. My door is open for any who wish advice or discussion, and I do not take polite, constructive challenge as insult. Decision making rests on me, but I trust in the breadth and depth of wisdom within our family to help me see perspectives and options that may not previously have been clear. If there is no room for discussion I will make this clear. I look forward to seeing you all soon. Lord Azrael Panama -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk
