Gothiel. A city of light, clear in its purpose and design.
It's unusual for much in the sense of civil unrest to go on here really. But the watch are called, to some surprise, to a tavern brawl. The patrons reported not really understanding what came over the, a sort of... flash of anger and resentment that they couldn't really explain. Either way, it settled before anything serious happened but it was just... weird... In the sky above Gothiel, if you happened to be looking, really really closely, you might notice the thinnest of cracks... in mid air... stretching over the city. If you stared too long at it, you might see a flick of fire. Or some teeth. Or maybe a thousand eyes and a feeling of... loathing. -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk

As Maii crept into bloom, a single talon pierced the sky above Gothiel, through the crack that had hovered like a scar for nearly a month. One talon followed by another, and another. Briefly they stopped their appearance, ten claws just displaced above the people's heads, still and serene.
But suddenly, with a screeching roar that could shake one till their insides crawled, the claws tore back and where once was a crack was now a gaping hole, filled with dragon of immense size. It's black, horned scales shimmered down it's back and all along to the tip of its two pronged tail. Stretching it's wings, the blood red membranes filling the sky, it launched itself off some unseen platform, the downbeat of the flight buffeting those far below. Again it roared as it sailed south, clearly seeking something before it was lost to sight. In its wake hundreds of smaller figures, barely distinguishable, followed. Those who focused on the gap rather than the dragon saw... we'll never know for sure perhaps. Those few that brought themselves to gaze into that abyss were never quite the same again. Nor would they speak of what they saw. But always they looked over their shoulders, jumping at shadows, and rarely went a night without nightmares. However the gap closed. No ceremony or noise, but when others looked back, there was no longer even the crack that had been there before. The sky was blue, the white clouds drifted past as it was as if nothing had happened... **August 5 day plot** -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk
