So I have been looking at dates for overlands and 24 hours and Pinewood scout camp is free the 24th and 25th September. Have spoken to Huw who would be ok with the event moving to 2 overlands with an IC meal in the evening in the building on site. Cost would be about £120, with space to stay at the scout camp on roll mats/blow up mattresses etc if people wanted.
If those booked are keen then we can look to get it booked up soon. -------------------- Rich

I'm not certain I'd be interested in this change, as I am not really able to do 24-hour events but I don't want to miss the conclusion of the campaign. Sorry to be a naysayer

Happy to go with the Flow but obviously whatever keeps the most people from the first parts involved going onward is most important I think.

Am happy either way, would be cool but if it stops people doing it I would say keep it at the caves

that sounds like a great idea... means it becomes 2 triple lengths instead of double lengths... and then if the evening is optional then people who cant stay wouldnt be forced to.

Essentially if there are people who did the previous ones who would prefer it to be 2 * caves, rather than 2 * overlands, that's all fine. It can stay at the caves. Rich just asked as that was one of the dates which was available.
To clarify, the idea would be for two normal length overlands, potentially with some IC forum-style stuff on the Sat evening for you to plot/compare notes, work things out and so on, maybe with some NPC's to talk to (maybe with an evening BBQ or something for those that wanted to). It certainly wouldn't be a run silly late type thing and people would be free to leave at the usual finish time if they wanted. Does that change anyone's opinion? If not, we'll stick to the caves. I stress, no pressure at all. I'm more than happy reffing at the caves. Huw |

The increased cost might be an issue for me won't really know til closer to the date.
But if the majority of people want to go for it O/L style I'm not going to raise a fuss. BBB -------------------- Grey's Law: Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice...

Huw/Rich are talking about doing two overlands rather than a 24 hour, which is slightly different I believe to enable people who might otherwise be unable to do it?

Exactly. However, if folks aren't able/can't/don't want to do overlands, they'll just be caves. If we could have everyone state and opinion on the double overland option, within a couple of weeks then I can give Rich the thumbs up/down when he's back from holiday.

I'd prefer a double over land format but as I said I'd rather we keep the party together.

I'm entirely neutral, except for being opposed to anything which means that people who did the first two can't do the last two.

If we're getting close to a full night's sleep then one of my major issues with 24 hours is mostly dealt with.
Do we have any idea what the cash minimum would be? -------------------- - Rebecca

Certainly keen to crew these when I'm back. Overlands be better of course.

I'm hopeful the same price as J6 was, so £20 minimum per day (40 in credits), for £60 per day, usual overland price. I certainly intend to get a good amount of sleep and either go home to sleep or kip there but at a sensible time. We can either do food + IC chatter, food + OOC chatter or food in the harvester just down the road. I'm totally happy to just run two overlands at the normal times basically. Huw |

It is indeed same as old J6 prices. £20 minimum, £60 in total
