Huge thanks to Gordon for an interesting day yesterday. There was clearly a lot of work put into it, and from my experience it was great to dip a toe into an intriguing and textured world that I hadn't seen before.
Thanks to Ed, Stacey and all of the monsters for bringing it all to life, and to the party for being great people to spend the day with. Cheers, Stuart |

Adding my thanks to Stuarts.
For Gordon, Ed, Stacey & Christian for the Low section + many others for the combined defender at the end. Lots of plot to look into in the future. Tim. |

And thx from me, to all the refs and crew for huge effort all day. Was a good fun day.
And the players for just being insanely funny at times. Whether killing each other (on purpose or otherwise) or just drawing on decades of history to take the p out of each other, sometimes literally, it was so funny! Cheers, Sean |

Thanks from me too. Could have spent the whole day in the tavern role playing with the wealth of years of history there!

Lots of thanks from me too.
For my fellow refs in Lee, Miles and Paul Bayliss & Dallen for all their help in running and delivering the day. To everyone that crewed and brought the encounters, plots and stories to life and kept involved long after we had planned to finish and kept the the various parties entertained and busy in the defender than ran for over an hour. To Edd & Stacey for their tireless work on the "Lows" as resources were diverted or circumstances understandably meant they weren't available. To Claudia for keeping me sane over the past week and doing countless behind the scene bits and pieces plus always being a sounding board to help breaking through writers block when it hits. To Duncan and Sonny for getting the tavern set and dressed to be a suitable location for the massed party members to meet, kill each other and generally mix and interact when they could. To the players for truly engaging and diving into the world, events and plot, being patient on comms and not quibbling about what they learned. To Jasper for proving all his characters are just his Goblin AP. Finally to Lee for all the amazing work he did in putting the Jade Empire source book together and giving us a unified and rich tapestry and framework to work with that I am excited to exploring and enrich from both sides of the team sheet. -------------------- Gordon Court

Iv had a bit of time to think and I still cant work out if it was a successful day or not.
The mids second section ended with us finding out we could have never achieved the section because of something someone did 3 years ago. What's that all about? It made it feel like a bit of a pointless day. I really enjoyed the 1hr defender at the end of the day so thanks to all involved for that Just a bit of honest feedback. Thank you to everyone who put so much effort into giving us a good day. JJ |

Private response sent.
In short as the master referee I can say OOC there were many wins across the day, and that as a collective your actions at the end of day defender resulted in a solid victory. How big the wins were, and what their impact is only time will tell and will be largely influenced by players involved in the day. When I have chance to finish the write ups for them to be published hopefully that will provide more clarity from an a variety of perspectives. -------------------- Gordon Court

Cheers to all, especially the hordes of monsters that make the world of difference at the stupid end of the system.

To Jasper for proving I was banned from playing APs in about 1992 as it happens. Thanks from me to all involved, too, but specifically Gordon and his monsters. I think my favourite moment was being told that we should be guarding the corridor because we were too little for the no max monsters in area C, only to walk out into a wave of monsters doing seven in E J -------------------- No of course I won't ref. Are you mad?

Great day overall so thanks to all... If I would like to follow up on bits from this, how would I go about it? Let me know what you want to follow up and what level/threshold of dungeon you are looking at doing, I can say if it is appropriate or not. Get a dungeon booked and a referee confirmed and a dungeon brief and background can be provided accordingly, the more notice the better, if I'm not available or able to commit to referee myself. -------------------- Gordon Court
