Is anyone else travelling to assist our allies Of The North next weekend? Stoneheart Khazad I'm there. Just finished helping to defend Primus for the Final Dawn - unsure as to the results yet as there was a LOT of running away at the end but assuming that Primus still exists by then, I'll be there with big, shiny bells on. Given that the Earthsunder goodly innates guild item is Uses rather than Blow-Up date, would it be better to save it for guild specials, rather than use on an adventure where only 4 people will benefit from it?
In a similar vein, seeing that we are doing more than 8 guild runs in the expiry period of new guild items, we would be better off with Expiry Date items for future guild items, rather than Uses? From the experience of the last few months, there are frequently enough Earthsunder dwarves on non-guild runs, to make the case for Expiry-Date items even more compelling? Can we have the goodly innates item changed to an expiry date item? Ian / Stoneheart |

When the item was created, I didnt at the time envisage a push for Soulforger this year - whilst we are affiliated with Of the North there are so far only two actual Earthsunder runs this year with one being a straight 8th so that players can start new characters and join the team or just start a fun character (like I am doing) in March and the other one at the end of the month - we only actually now need to organise one run a year to keep the top tier. The rest of the runs are all going to be Soulforger as I intend to gain the last two tiers and to finish the Grand Guild Hall and more if possible - maybe even the statuses (not yet applied for though its fair to say). That being said, if folks want more Earthsunder runs then I am happy to set some up and this will happen anyway if the Soulforger push doesnt pick up as there are currently only about five or six players really interested in this. The guild items are at your disposal should you wish to use them - you dont have to - if it turns out that only two players can actually use one item I dont mind if this is the case as in a crisis this could make a whole world of difference - use it, its only the equivalent of a heal anyway so no great shakes. Fair to say that that I have listened and any future ones will be BUD from henceforth... I will also think about future Earthsunder items being more neutrally based so that our less than devout fellows may also benefit from them... -------------------- James Pink

I think it is the case that well over half of the Earthsunder clan champions are also either Soulforger priests or Soulforger lay believers.
With some notable and respected exceptions of course. So in my perspective, it would be better to use the Earthsunder items to support the Soulforger expeditions, as being a better fit to our shared objectives. For the items which have a fixed fade date, then clearly we can continue to use them to support all our allies. Stoneheart |
