The old ranger pulled up his hood and gathered his cloak tight against the winter chill that sought to steal the warmth from his bones. The journey from his village of Coldsnap, if you could call it that, had been arduous and risky with the passes seemingly rife with Hobgoblins in places but the gates of Thimon were now in sight.
It had been a few years since he had been there but he was sure he could find the Commisant’s office. The question was could he find anyone with an ear to listen to his ill news of heavily armed and armoured Baronials claiming parts of the Brandins in Schtoy’s name. While they were notionally in the Badlands between the two nations the villagers thought of themselves as part of rural Thimon. They paid taxes, or at least they would if ever asked for them, and they knew for certain they didn’t want to be swallowed like Takalia. -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk
