Ok, so my plan of leaving posting til after the Ruin themeday may not have been the best, as looks like this may get buried in the deluge of repercussion posts!
Gutted not to have been there, but hey ho. So...this coming Saturday. Most important thing, to help things run smoothly, need people to prepare 2 battleboards please. One as normal. It will get plenty of use, you do need a normal battleboard! And any power / innates used will transfer to the second battleboard. The second battleboard..will have almost all your innates, power etc but life is as follows: If you buy as first class warrior you have 60/20 hits. If you buy as first class scout type, 45/15. If first class caster, 30/10. These are hits, as per when you monster. So all AC etc is a part of the hits. If you buy as first class in more than one, you dont just choose the best, you choose ooc the most appropriate for how your character sees themself! So if you are primarily a wizard that just happens to buy as first class warrior, then you take wizard life! There is no AC, no damage reductions, etc to worry about. The only exception being things like if you cast a plate spell you are bouncing bolts and below. But otherwise a bolt does you 8 hits etc. You don't have any access to any rages or power ups that give a damage reduction, be they innates or perm. Same with any spells, from rockskin to anything fudge. Basically nothing can effect your hits, so if you take a double I expect you to lose 2 hits! Combat is not going to be the focus of this section, so chill and go with it is my advice. Especially for Saturday, themeday be more pressured and has different dangers involved. Remember, on Saturday at least, vitae not on the line when you are back in time, you will have earned that respite however! You also dont have any non published retros. Warcries are fine, verbal will be "for the light!". But anything beyond warcries and disciplines you don't have access to unless asked me beforehand. Word of recall and the like just takes you back to your own time. Seems unlikely to be needed / used but who knows! Also, expect and be prepared for RP restrictions on what abilities you can use back in time. Will become apparent on the day. RP wise, most should know the score of what they are signing up for. OOC, if you don't know the brief for this one, then you should make some effort to find out what the plan is and decide if you would do it before Saturday! I've posted enough stuff already about it, this is the final leadup for the themeday and a large part of the themeday for my section only will be a continuation of this. With the same requirements, though different lifescales. And to get your heads around the RP, when back in time, although in different bodies, you all look the same to each other, with a kind of superimposed image visible of the body you are inhabiting in that timeline. Your host bodies are all human, they are all finely dressed or wearing gleaming armour with tabards emblazoned with the symbol of a candle. And they all speak like posh stuck up knightly / chivalric nobility, thee's and thou's etc. So when talking to each other you sound normal, when talking to others the ritual seems to twist your words to make them fit in with the expectations of those you are talking to. RP that as best you can, but dont worry too much, thats what the monsters will hear regardless! If you die whilst in the time ritual, fall over as normal, you cannot return to your host until the host is returned to life. Any questions, PM or email pls. And please hunt up crew. Especially for the morning, need people willing to beat on you. And for the afternoon, need people really up for some RP! So be a good mix for the day. I physically cant be monstering yet. Rich is a great start as a-ref, but the day really wont go well without crew! Cheers, be good to be back! Sean |

So, the non standards for tomorrow. Some may not be seen, or may never effect you, but all here for thoroughness.
There are a handful I will only be revealing tomorrow morning. But please encourage everyone to read these to save time. NON STANDARDS: Soul lance will effect anyone who is not of the faithful of Aviathar (yes House that does mean you are immune ), or fully undead. So does work on evil alignments. Greater soul lance does 60% of base tblp. Bus numbers = 5 grades of backstab, rest is real damage Plasma strike, 36 pt shadow strike but light based (white mana/goodly spirit) Prismatic damage: all handbook colours of magic except black and blue Stunning blow: white mana, goodly spirit, physical halt infinite levels Out of time: Same mechanic as vanish animate, but only immune to temporal or act of faith applies. Temporal acceleration: All non spiritual effects with a duration on the target end, or have their duration doubled, whichever is most disbeneficial. Immune to non standard dispels applies, as does immunity to temporal effects. End of Time: immune to ageing or die. Void touch - This is a 30 pt slayer/bane touch effect, basically they destroy anything that “exists” by touch, so their touch is incredibly baneful. Don’t need to know what effects their victims, its just auto bane, any combination of powerbases possible EXCEPT neuronic as they are not sentient. Arcane feedback: Take 12 tblp for every power up (magical / spiritual / mantic) that you currently have up. This includes "perm" and 24 hour spells / miracles. And is a total, not 12 tblp per effect but if you have 10 spells / miracles up then you take 120tblp. From a grey/silver/neutral spirits source. A passive total counts as 2 (the passive and the total). And it includes things that may have been cast on you by others, including mark allies. Divine: Does all powerbases / colours / alignments simultaneously, is from a divine source and meets whatever pre-reqs needed to kill you. Defence wins as usual. Cant inflict jade OR onyx from this source. |
