Labyrinthe Forum _ Little Hollow, homestead for small folk _ Events of Starsday, The Trading Fayre and Old Bramble Manor

Posted by: Mart07 Nov 14 2016, 06:16 PM

Hello Everyone,

I HOPE this finds you all well, and recovered from the kerfuffles of Starsday involving that Necro-Mancer and his dark dealin's. For those interested there will be a proper funeral for the dearly deceased this comin' Thorsday at the Shrine on the Village Green. All are welcome to pay their respects should they so wish.

The Town Council are still in a bit of a flap what with all of the bad business that went on, and the excitement of the Fayre and the fire works in the evening, however I would like from the bottom of my heart to thank all those from Little Hollow, and especially the friends from elsewhere that helped put a stop to the disruptions, and darn right unpleasantness which right riled up everythin'.

You can consider yourself true friends of Little Hollow and are always welcome to come stay at mine on Wick's Hill should you be in the area. Myself and Mrs Winterbottom will do our upmost to make you welcome, and put on a bit of a spread. Also if there is anythin' I can help with in return, well I'm always up for an ADVENTURE!

As Gulliver seems to have scarpered with all of the cash, I will arrange for reparations to reach you, as per a normal days work (OOC - check envelopes in a couple of weeks).

Troubles aside, and I don't want to harken on about 'em too much, but the Tradin' Fayre was a great success and although a lot of the money raised went to the Empire, our growing community will benefit greatly and can look at expanding which is good as we have received many letters from other Hafling folk who want to come and settle. We received a missive from Halgar this morning' stating that our little homestead will be truly recognised by the big folk, and something in very small letters written three times about taxes (don't fret though as we are sending Herbert Honeycomb also with a delegation from the Women's Circle to them to "chat" about that - armed with some cake).

Also thanks to Larry's excellent efforts and an (ahem) unnamed investor (whose wife will definitely not be finding' out how much he had to pay for it) we managed to acquire the deeds to Old Bramble Manor and its lands (without Rangar getting' 'em) - so will need to sort that out in the coming months. Master Morgan, you say you 'ave wood, and boy will we be needin' it!

Exciting' times are a-comin' I can feel it in me feet!

Regards, and thank-ee once more.

Warwick Winterbottom.
